Nicholas Latifi has secured a drive with Arden Motorsport for the upcoming Formula Renault 3.5 season, after graduating from Euro F3.

The Canadian driver has already had a brief taste of the series after competing in three rounds last year, notching up an impressive second place at the final round in Jerez.

The 19-year-old feels he and Arden can form an ideal partnership and believes he can fight for the championship in his first full season.

"I am excited for the opportunity to work with Arden for the Formula Renault 3.5 championship in 2015," he said. "From the moment I started testing with Arden in the post season, the team and I worked very well together. I am confident we will be in a position to fight for the Championship right from the start. I can't wait for the season to begin."

Team principal Garry Horner says he is thrilled to have signed Lafiti after impressing in Euro F3, finishing 10th in the drivers' standings, as well as performing strongly in his wildcard entries in FR3.5 and GP2.

"We are delighted to have Nicholas with us for the 2015 season," he said. "He spent some time with us during the end of season testing in November last year and we were impressed with his mature manner and his analytical instincts in the engineering of the race car."
