Matthieu Vaxivier picked up where he left off yesterday and kept hold of the top spot on the timesheets on the second day of the second pre-season test in Formula Renault 3.5.

Midway through the morning session the Lotus driver notched up a 1m 40.662s hot lap - just 0.027s off his quickest lap on day one of the Aragon test - and will now aim to make a clean sweep of the test by going quickest this afternoon.

His closest challenger Tio Ellinas posted a fastest lap of 1m 41.083s but his French rival remains the only driver to break the 1m 40s barrier. British driver Oliver Rowland ended the session in third while Beitske Visser made significant gains to jump up to fourth with Jazeman Jaafar narrowly behind in fifth.
