Pietro Fantin has admitted he is encouraged by his improvements after scoring his first podium of the 2015 Formula Renault 3.5 season at the sixth round of the championship at Silverstone.

Fantin, who returned to the podium for the first time since the Russian round at the Moscow Raceway last year - finished behind championship leaders, Oliver Rowland and Matthieu Vaxiviere in race two at the historic British circuit. The Brazilian is currently in his second season with International Draco Racing and third overall after a mixed season at Arden Caterham in 2013.

"Throughout the season, we were always up there but we were a bit unlucky with mechanical problems," he said. "It is frustrating when you are there throughout the season but we were lucky this weekend with the penalties after qualifying and made the most of it."
