Alfonso Celis Jr will remain with AVF in the rebranded Formula 3.5 V8 for 2016 having enjoyed a successful maiden season this year.

The 19-year-old Mexican ended his debut season 16th in the championship standings collecting 17 points, while finishing seventh in the rookie class and will return to action with Adrian Valles' squad for winter testing on the 4th and 6th Novemeber at Alcaniz.

"AVF has been like a family for me this season," Celis Jr said. "I really merged well with the team and the car has been one the best I've driven in my whole career. As I'm set for my second year in the championship, staying with Adrian felt like a logical and natural choice as he really helped me a lot growing up as a driver. In the upcoming session at Alcaniz we will test several different solutions in order to be ready for the 2016 season."
