Turvey secures iSport drive

Racing Steps Foundation driver Oliver Turvey to graduate to GP2 for the 2010 season with iSport International
Oliver Turvey is to make the move from the Renault World Series into GP2 for the 2010 season.

With continued backing from the Racing Steps Foundation, the Briton will make the move to iSport International for his first season in GP2 and will also take part in the GP2 Asia series over the winter in preparation for his main campaign.

Turvey currently lies in a share of fifth place in the World Series standings, with his highlight this season being pole and victory in the Monaco Grand Prix support race.

As well as Turvey in GP2, the Racing Steps Foundation will back James Calado in British F3 and Formula BMW racer Jack Harvey in 2010.

“This has been a very satisfying year with all beneficiaries making good progress, Graham Sharp from the Racing Steps Foundation said. “Both Oliver and James have consistently demonstrated their exceptional talent and I have no hesitation in extending RSF support to them in 2010. Again we have chosen top teams to partner in this initiative and we look forward to working with iSport in GP2.”
