Former F1 engineer, James Robinson has reached an agreement with BCN Competicion for 2008.
The 47-year-old will bring with him extensive experience and to date, during his 25-year career in motorsport, he has worked with a number of teams at the pinnacle of the sport, including Williams, McLaren and BAR. During that time he filled the role of car engineer for the likes of Ayrton Senna, Nelson Piquet, Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve.
"The hiring of Robinson is placed within the context of an internal reorganisation aimed at reaching shortly the highest competitive degree," explained the team.
"BCN Competicion thanks Eng. Eduardo Jimenez, who leaves the team to new experiences and who has contributed to the growth of the team in the past few years."
