Trident boss joins FMaster management

Former Trident Racing team principal and managing director Alessandro Alunni Bravi has joined the Formula Master team to take up the role of general manager to the series.

The 34-year old law graduate has led Trident's programme in the main GP2 Series, and the new GP2 Asia offshoot since 2005, and oversaw the Italian team's decision to branch out into FMaster when the series was launched the same year. He has managed the team's progress in both categories over the last three years, taking wins in GP2 and plucking 2008 FMaster champion Chris van der Drift from JD Motorsport to contest this winter's GP2 Asia Series.

Alunni Bravi will now oversee all aspects of the FMaster series in his new capacity, bringing several years of motorsport management experience to the organisation.

"Through Trident Racing's association with Formula Master this year, I have discovered an incredibly professional group," the Italian explained, "I was impressed with the quality of people involved in the organisation of the series and joining them as general manager was an exciting decision to make.

"I look forward to the next few months of winter development, as well as the 2009 season, which sees the series reach new levels of competition through its involvement with Formula One and the FIA World Touring Car Championship."
