Durango signs teen for Asia campaign

Durango Corse has announced that Michael Dalle Stelle will drive with them for the remainder of the GP2 Asia Series, starting with Dubai this weekend.

Dalle Stelle comes to the team having competed in Italian Formula 3 this season, the 18-year-old finishing the season in ninth position overall with a best result of fourth.

Although he tested for the team recently at Paul Ricard, Dalle Stelle admits the graduation to GP2 will represent a substantial step for him.

"I am happy and excited for this official debut in such a difficult and competitive series. It will not be easy for me because all that I know about Dubai circuit is that the track is made very slippery by the sand. I will try to use my brain as much as I can following the advices that the team will surely give me".

Dalle Stelle replaces Carlos Iaconelli, who competed for the team in the opening Shanghai round, and joins Davide Valsecchi in the team.
