Is it possible to have yet another Junior Formula in the race calendar? Each new addition means there is a diluting of the available talent.As ever I am sure someone somewhere is getting their snout in the trough and making money from it all.For me it means I have lost all interest in racing at this level and unlike in the past I cannot say who the latest hotshot drivers are!

Another 'one make' championship. Do the people that come up with these bright ideas really want to kill motor sport? How will this sit alongside what we have already (what about Formula 3?)

This will be boring, as are GP2, Formula 2, Renault World Series, F3000, Superleague Formula, A1GP, Formula Renault etc. etc. etc. How many one make series does it take before everyone either runs out of money or gets tired of the whole thing.

What a 'turn-off'.

Some of these championships will have to go away. Superleague Formula and A1GP can stay but only because they aren't really relevant to who is going to be in F1, but are more something extra on the side (and in the winter in case of A1).

Euro F3 used to be THE highest level of a junior series but it has been dominated by ASM for years now. As a diehard racefan that I am I can't even bother to watch WSBR anymore, let alone Formula 2 and Formula Master. Is F3000 still going in Italy? Really?

Of all these I only really keep an eye on GP2 (and A1GP, but only while realising that it's not really a high level of racing).

@adie
I agree it will dilute the driver talent but what about the available sponsorship money too there is only so much to go around!

Hmm unfortunately i think gp3 will prevail to the detriment of euro f3 and national f3 championships.gp1 will probably be introduced in a few years along with gp4 :)

yet again these cars look more like Formula Palmer Audis (rather like the F2) series. This series will again lead to further confusion within the drivers market, who or what series is going to get value for money? Each new series must mean less television / audience coverage for the other series? When are we going to stop meddling with the structure of motorsport?

Sounds good to me. in the entire world we have what, 150 opportunities each year for young drivers?

Situating it as an F1 support race also give it automatic coverage and some good media for young drivers.

Where is the value to a driver or sponsor in GP3, they will have a lot less track time than any other formula, 20 mins practice and straight into quali and a race before the F1 crowd arrives, all this for €600000 another nice little earner for a few.
