An absolute gentleman whom you could always share a joke with. Christian, you were always wearing a smile whatever the weather. A personality rich in character, the world will truly find it hard to replace you. I, along with my father Howard are deeply shocked and saddened but we will keep the fond memories old friend - "the good die young." RIP

That was a nice touch at the end Crash.

I never knew who he was but he seemed like a top guy, it's a shame another person within the last month and within the motorsport world has been taken too early... this is sad to here, my thought go out to his family and friends.

I do not think I have heard of this guy. That he should be killed in what is supposed to be a safe car is sad to say the least. That he died in a hospital I have been to (not after an accident) myself is all the more sad as I lived in this area in South London. Its all a bit of a mystery- I do not know why he retired if he was a top class driver- maybe he did not enjoy it anymore but this is the mystery.......Anyway it goes to show driving on the roads is almost more dangerous than racing on the circuits. My most sincere condolences to the guy and his family. RIP

What a shame and very sad time for everyone who knew Christian, I personally met him a few times when he was in F3 and he came across as a top bloke.
John he definately had a great talent but unfortunately suffered from an ongoing back injury hence his retirement from the sport.

Miss you Christian

I live in the area and traffic was diverted due to the accident. This can't have been at normal speed. He ended up through barriers on the cycle path underneath the roundabout, which wouldn't have happened at 30, 40 or even 50mph. Tragic though it is, we should count lucky anyone that was on that roundabout before or after this racing driver.
