Based on his career so far I fear it's a case of money over ability.
But that's hardly anything new,and even GP2 teams can't survive on air and talent alone.
Who knows,he might surprise us all.But I think that Barwa will view any points he might get as a distinct bonus.

Can't say I agree with you there sodesu...Course we can't judge the quality of the 1st year guys yet but I don't see any real F1 prospects yet except for Calado.

Seems to me like there aren't as many 'veterans' in there who have shown enough promise to be due for a championship as in previous years and therefore I think the 1st year guys have a better chance than they've had for a while to come in and win the championship right away.

As for Barwa I don't really understand what they're doing. They used to be the top team but after the last championship with Pic and VdG (which was already not as good a year as some of the years before) they've been making some weird driver choices, probably given in by money.

Well we have two hot prospects in the form of Evans and Abt, we have the second year crunch-time guys Calado and Nasr, and we have some veterans who might be due as you say, mainly Ericsson in a previously winning team. Last year we had maybe one or two interesting rookies (mainly the two aforementioned) and then some supposed big names that failed to deliver (Gutierrez, Van der Garde). That's why I see this season as a probable improvement.

JJJ

Calado, Calado, Calado.....it is very boring

He certainly very good, and the others not good....
I think Calado this year wont't win the championship, and he will get the same critism that Gutierrez or van der Garde got this year....I very hope

ok, he finished 5th last year, grat, but when he won junior championship? never

France
you are true

i don't understand why people said Gutierrez not deserved F1 seat or why was he wrong...
this Mexican raced just 2 years in GP2! and last year he finished 3rd....oh my god, this is a very bad stat :D

ok, Calado was better in his first year than Guti his 1st year, but we will see this year Calado what he will be doing.... :)
Nasr or Ericsson better driver than Calado
we will see!!!

@France

Well I'm not british if that was what you're thinking but I viewed most of last year's races and thought he did very well, way better than Nasr who is hyped up a bit IMO.

I have a feeling that Ericsson won't be the next DAMS champion this year, based on what I've seen him do in the past couple of years and also the performance advantage that DAMS had markedly decreased as the year went on last year.

Barwa Addax team I believe will have a brilliant achievement for the year 2013
I'm sure the racers driving skills RIO HARYANTO Indonesia ...
He Racers The Superb .. expert in wet track conditions
At the time in GP3 .. 2011 he was able to win in GERMANY
Rio Has Talent, he began his career in his first GP2 2012 With results that can be said to be outstanding.
try to compare with GP2 racer on board at the time of his debut in the GP2.
Move on Rio Haryanto I support.
