di Grassi penalised
Lucas di Grassi has been handed a penalty by the race stewards following qualifying this afternoon at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.

Di Grassi will drop three grid positions after being judged to have impeded Karun Chandhok.

The Brazilian, who finished the session in second position, will now start the race in fifth place, promoting championship leader Nico Hülkenberg to the front row alongside pole-sitter Alvaro Parente.

Meanwhile Franck Perera, who qualified outside of the 107 per cent of the pole position time, will not participate in either race this weekend.

The Frenchman was also 12 seconds off the top position in the rain affected free practice, and as such was unable to point to that session for an indication of his speed at the 7 kilometre circuit.
