Michael Herck has been disqualified from his career-best finish of sixth place in the Portimao feature race after his DPR car was found to have technical irregularities.
The Romanian, who will complete his second season in the GP2 Series this weekend, celebrated his first ever points with a fine run to sixth position, a result that also heralded DPR's first points of the season.
However, post-race checks revealed the car was too low and therefore in breach of the regulations.
Excluded from the results, Herck would have lost his position anyway after being given a further penalty for cutting the second chicane at the beginning of the race.
The 25-second penalty was also handed down to Trident drivers Davide Rigon and Ricardo Teixeira, while non-finishers Giedo van der Garde and Jerome d'Ambrosio will have their penalties translated to a drop of five positions on the grid for the sprint race.
Herck's exclusion sees Kamui Kobayashi up to sixth, with the sprint race front row being made up of Davide Valsecchi in second and Andreas Zuber on pole position.
