Felix da Costa to test with ORT

Antonio Felix da Costa to test with Ocean Racing Technology during GP2 testing at Paul Ricard
Ocean Racing Technology has invited Portuguese driver Antonio Felix da Costa to take part in the upcoming GP2 test at Paul Ricard.

The team, headed by SEAT WTCC driver Tiago Monteiro, will continue with the programme it started during the recent test at Jerez and will evaluate a number of drivers alongside da Costa during the test.

Charles Pic, Christian Vietoris, Nelson Panciatici and an un-named fifth driver will also spend time at the wheel of the ORT cars during the course of the test.

"We've been following Antonio's career for some time now and he is certainly a driver that we would like to integrate into Ocean Racing Technology as he fits right in there with the profile we are aiming for,” Monteiro said. “However, the GP2 Series car is very different to the one he was driving this year and this invitation will allow him to have his first experience of the GP2 Series as well as of our team. It will help us to see how he comes to grips with the car and the team.

“We will also test other drivers. At the end of the process, we will be able to draw conclusions regarding what the best options for the team could be. We already said that we would like to race with a Portuguese driver and therefore the Paul Ricard session as well as the GP2 Asia Series will be decisive for our driver selection."

Fabio Leimer, Joseph Kral, Philip Eng and Rodolfo Gonzalez have already tested with ORT since the end of the season.
