GP3: Christensen joins MW Arden for 2010

Michael Christensen will compete in the inaugural GP3 Championship with the MW Arden Team, it has been confirmed.
MW Arden Team have confirmed that 2005 European Karting champion and 2006 vice World Karting champion, Michael Christensen will join the squad for the inaugural GP3 Championship.

The highly rated Dane is stepping up to GP3 having achieved multiple race wins, pole positions and podiums in the Formula BMW Europe Championship whilst also finishing runner-up in the 2008 Formula BMW World Final in his rookie year.

"I am delighted to be joining the MW Arden team," said the 19-year-old. "It is a great opportunity to work closely with Mark Webber which will only benefit my career development.

"The Arden team have a winning history in every previous Championship they have competed in and having met the people involved, I am convinced it is the right team for me to be in for 2010. I would like to thank Mark Webber and Christian Horner for giving me this opportunity."

MW Arden team manager, Julian Rouse believes that Christensen will be very competitive: "We are delighted to have secured the services of Michael Christensen in MW Arden's driver line-up for the debut season of GP3.

"Following the success of GP2 and with Michael's proven track record we are convinced he should be a title contender in 2010."
