Adam Carroll returns as Luca Filippi switches

Filippi competed for Coloni in the last round of the final GP2 Asia series at Imola earlier this year. He is currently 13th in the GP2 standings with 9pts after five rounds, while Ceccon has not yet finished in the points. Coloni have only one point so far this year with Michael Herck's sixth place in the Valencia sprint race.

Speaking of Ceccon's decision to step down, Coloni said: "With Auto GP being in the hottest moment of its season, with two races in 3 weeks, Kevin decided to focus on his main program for the 2011 season, which makes a lot of sense as he is also fighting for the title there."

The next GP2 race is this weekend at the Nürburgring as the support race to the F1 Grand Prix of Germany at the same venue. Practice will take place on Friday morning after F1 Free Practice 1, with qualifying in the afternoon after FP2. The feature race is on Saturday afternoon at 2.40pm with the sprint race on Sunday morning starting at 9.35am.
