Buller completes Carlin GP3 line-up
Will Buller has been named as the final member of Carlin's GP3 line-up for the 2012 season.

The 19-year-old, who finished fourth in the British F3 International Series last season with Fortec, will join Alex Brundle and Antonio Felix da Costa having produced a series of impressive performances during winter testing.

That included setting the fifth quickest time during this week's session at Silverstone.

“I've tested the GP3 car a few times over the winter with Carlin and it's gone very well,” he said. “GP3 is now an established series with great racing, plus it has a lot of commercial and sporting benefits for me as I develop my career. Live TV on the new Sky Sports F1 channel will be good for my sponsors and the opportunity to show the F1 teams what I can do again is a major plus point for me as a driver.

“I know most of the tracks from Formula BMW, but I am going to gain even more experience of competing on a number of Formula 1 circuits, which will help me as I move forwards in my career.”

As well as the move into GP3, Buller faces a packed programme for the season ahead having also been named as part of Carlin's team for an assault on the new FIA European F3 Championship alongside Carlos Sainz Jr, who is competing for Carlin in British F3 this season.

The European championship comprises of the eight F3 Euroseries rounds and the British F3 events at Pau and Spa.

“Volkswagen were very keen to have me in the Euroseries, so I am very happy that the deal with Volkswagen and Carlin came together, even if it is a bit late in the day<' he said. “As a driver it was difficult to wait for everything to get sorted, but I'm delighted to be signed with Carlin as they are one of the best teams there is, as their record of championships shows.

"I believe the new FIA European F3 Championship will be a major series in the coming years and I really want to try and win it this season. There is a lot of effort going into the programme and its great to be able to count on the support of Carlin, Volkswagen and all my sponsors.”
