Season summary:

Felipe Nasr had a brilliant start to his 2013 season at Carlin, with an unbroken run of eight races in which he finished no lower than fourth place and which included second spot on the podium at Sepang, Bahrain and Catalunya. Only the fact that Stefano Coletti was having an even more stellar start kept Nasr's achievements from wowing the GP2 paddock. When Coletti started to falter after the German rounds it was Nasr who first sensed the moment had come to pounce, and he put in another spurt that included a podium in Hungary to come within six points of taking the lead of the championship. But then, rather like Coletti, Nasr also stalled and scored only one point from Spa and Monza. That allowed Fabio Leimer and Sam Bird to pass him in the standings, and after that not even clinching the runners-up spot at Singapore could prevent him from being pushed down to fourth by a late surge by James Calado.
