Campos Racing has announced Alex Palou and Zaid Ashkanani as two of its drivers for its debut year in GP3.

Spaniard Palou finished third in last year's Euroformula Open and sealed his Campos race seat after impressing at test sessions in Abu Dhabi last November. 2015 will mark his first season on the international stage and the 17-year-old says he hopes to learn quickly as possible.

"I am very excited by the prospect of joining this new GP3 project with Campos Racing," Palou said. "I shall do my best to achieve the best possible results and to live up to the trust of Adri?n Campos and my sponsors."

Palou will be joined at Campos by Kuwaiti racer Ashkanani after he won the Porshce GT3 Cup Challenge in the Middle East last year and 2015 will mark his rookie year in GP3.

"I am very happy to race with Campos Racing in the GP3 Series and it will be a big challenge for me. I am really looking forward to it," he said.

Team principal Adrian Campos says he is pleased with the all-new driver line up in the team's debut GP3 campaign and will announce a third driver in the coming weeks.

"I am very glad as this new project in the GP3 Series is very promising, and it is going to be great to have both Alex and Zaid with us," Campos said. "Alex Palou already proved his worth during the collective tests held in the series in Abu Dhabi. I know Zaid pretty well as we have already worked together for a long time. We will make every effort to ensure we have a competitive package for them. I hope to announce another driver shortly."

The team begins its pre-season testing at Estoril in Portugal next month.
