Alexander Rossi completes Racing Engineering's 2015 driver line-up in GP2 and will team-mate rookie Jordan King.

The American will contest his third season in the series but his first with the Spanish team. The 23-year-old finished ninth in his rookie GP2 season with Caterham in 2013, notching up a single victory in the Abu Dhabi Feature race.

Rossi suffered a difficult 2014 campaign after separating from Caterham midway through the season and the driver is now looking for a fresh start with Racing Engineering.

"After several years of discussions, at last Racing Engineering and I have found a way to work together," Rossi said. "Racing Engineering is a multiple Championship winning GP2 team, and their passion and commitment to excellence reflects throughout the organisation, where winning and performance is the sole focus."

Rossi has also spent the past three seasons as a Formula 1 test driver at Caterham and Marussia respectively, and the 23-year-old says he received plenty of offers for 2015 before settling with Racing Engineering.

"I've spent the majority of my career racing in Europe, building my racing foundation and have strong relationships there. My ultimate goal has never wavered, and still remains F1," Rossi added. "The GP2 Championship with Racing Engineering is the perfect alignment for these career objectives."

Rossi will get his first experience of his new team in Abu Dhabi for the opening pre-season tests.
