Lynn set his time in the morning session, finishing nearly half a second clear of his team mate Pierre Gasly who has topped the times on Monday in the first of the three days of official testing organised by the feeder series ahead of the start of the 2015 championship.

In the afternoon, the DAMS pair concentrated on longer race runs and ended up 18th and 19th fastest respectively. That left Arden free to claim the top of the later timesheets, with Norman Nato pipping his team mate Andre Negrao by three tenths of a second with a lap of 1:49.697s, slightly slower in the hotter conditions than Lynn's morning effort.

Windy conditions had been a feature at the start of the day as ARTs Stoffel Vandoorne initially went fastest ahead of Racing Engineering's Alexander Rossi and Campos Racing's Arthur Pic with most of the focus on long runs and race simulations. Lynn went fastest halfway through the morning with a time of 1:50.602s which he later pared down by almost a second when he switched to the supersoft compound Pirelli tyres for some faster laps, while Trident's Raffaele Marciello was able to match Vandoorne's time and was credited with third place in the standings by the time the lunchbreak arrived.

In the afternoon, Vittorio Ghirelli was the early pacesetter in the MP Motorsport #16 until Richie Stanwaway took charge mid-session in the Status Grand Prix car. Stanaway in turn gave way to a better effort from Marciello ahead of the first red flag of the day, for Campos Racing's Rio Haryanto coming to a stop on the start-finish straight.

Nato went to the top for the first time with a lap of 1:50.858s with an hour's track time remaining on the clock, but he was also the cause of the second red flag when he subsequently stopped in turn 20.

The track went green again with 20 minutes remaining, coaxing the drivers out for some last minute speed trials on supersoft tyres after an afternoon of long distance race simulations.

Nato was not only able to rejoin the action after his earlier misfortune, he was even able to go on and post the best time of the afternoon as a whole.

The third and final day's testing gets underway at 9am local time on Wednesday morning..
