Oscar Tunjo has been announced as the third and final driver for Trident in the new GP3 series, as the team prepares for the opening pre-season test in Estoril.

The 19-year-old will make his debut in the series after competing in the final six rounds of last year's Formula Renault 3.5 championship with Pons Racing. Despite a delayed entrance into the series, the Colombian driver notched up three points-scoring places and finished 22nd in the drivers' standings.

"After the agreement I signed with Trident, I'm very motivated," Tunjo said. "It's the next challenge in my professional racing career and I can't wait to start working hard together with the team. The goal is to be a stable presence at the front of the grid and fight for podium finishes and wins."
