Despite having appeared to have lost his place at the GP2 Series table, Sergio Canamasas has found a way back for Silverstone, signing up with Team Lazarus in place of the injured Zoel Amberg.

Canamasas previously competed five times under the Team Lazarus banner in his debut 2012 campaign, and rejoins the squad following a falling out with MP Motorsport at the Austrian Grand Prix.

"It is good to be racing again, especially as I'm joining Team Lazarus, where I will meet well-known people, as they were already involved with Lazarus in the past," the Spaniard commented, "It is never an easy task to adapt to a change, with a different set-up and working under different conditions. But motorsport is like that.
