Nicholas Latifi will return to the GP2 Series line-up this weekend after inking a deal to join MP Motorsport for selected races over the remainder of the year.

The 20-year old Formula Renault 3.5 regular debuted in the F1 feeder category during the 2014 season finale at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi, and now joins MP Motorsport favourite Dani?l de Jong for rounds 11 and 12 of the current campaign, replacing FR3.5 rival Oliver Rowland, who steered the orange-and-black machine to two points finishes on home soil at Silverstone.

"I'm really excited to be joining MP Motorsport," Canadian Latifi admitted, "I have never worked with the team before, but I look forward to developing a good relationship with everyone. I have driven a GP2 car previously, and raced in Hungary earlier this year, which will definitely help me getting up to speed quicker.
