Gustav Malja will get another GP2 Series outing for this weekend's penultimate round in Bahrain after being called up by the Rapax team to replace Robert Visoiu.

The Swede, who scored two podiums on the way to ninth overall in his first season of Formula Renault 3.5 Championship racing, made his GP2 debut with Trident earlier this year at Spa, but will race with Rapax for his latest outing.

Replacing Romanian racer Visoiu in the car, who is suffering from injury, Malja will be paired with race winner Sergey Sirotkin for the Bahrain race.

"We were sad to hear about the injury occurred to Robert and we wish him a prompt return on-track," said team CEO Andrea Bergamini. "In the two final events of the season at Bahrain and Abu Dhabi we will have the chance to welcome a young rookie like Gustav Malja, who aims to consolidate his experience aboard the GP2 Series Dallara.

"Malja will rely on the support of both the team and his team-mate Sirotkin, as the Russian will be battling for third place in the driver classification. We will have 10 really challenging days and then, after the Abu Dhabi finale, we will start focusing on 2016."
