GP3 Series squad Campos Racing has announced Alex Palou, Konstantin Tereshchenko and Steijn Schothorst as its driver line-up for the 2016 season.
Palou will effectively lead the line for the Spanish squad having re-signed to Campos Racing after enjoying a progressive rookie campaign in GP3 last year. The 18-year-old graduated from the Euroformula Open championship and after enduring a tricky start to the year he crept up the GP3 running order to take his maiden points finish in the feature race at Spa.
Palou crowned a successful season with a rookie win in the final race of the year in Abu Dhabi and is keen to make similar gains in 2016.
“I'm happy to be back in the GP3 Series driving a Campos Racing's car,” Palou said. “I'm entirely convinced we will be able to build on the experience gained last year to be competitive from the scratch. I'm looking forward to driving the GP3 car again.”
The Spanish teenager will be joined by Tereshchenko who graduated into GP3 as Spanish Formula 3 champion and Euroformula Open runner-up, while also making a handful of wildcard appearances for Campos in GP3 last year.
Campoos Racing's line-up is completed by Steijn Schothorst who is preparing for his debut in GP3 after impressing as runner-up in the Renault Sport Trophy and the Zandvoort Masters.
Pre-season testing will kick off at Estoril (22-24 March), before switching to Valencia (7-8 April) and Barcelona (20-21 April).
