Tomas Scheckter's elevation to the ranks of the
Formula One support series will not be the only change in the field this weekend.

Motoring News reports that there will be at least another two new - if not completely fresh - faces attempting to qualify for Saturday's seventh round of the
FIA series, with
F3000 old hands Marc Goossens and Dino Morelli returning to the fray.
Experienced Belgian Goossens returns to his old stomping ground at Astromega, where he replaces unhappy French rival Fabrice Walfisch. Despite scoring points early in the season, Walfisch has grown increasingly unhappy with his, and his car's, performance and, following another points-free showing in his home race, has left the team. Goossens, meanwhile, has been racing the DAMS Cadillac in the ALMS series, following the apparent end of his
F3000 career with Arden last year.
Morelli's return to
F3000 has had a whirlwind quality to it, having not even been pursuing a seat a month ago. When his hopes of landing a sportscar drive in America fell through, however, the Irishman made himself available for an Italian series test with Durango Corse, and ended up racing - for a few yards at least - at Monza. His sportscar negotiations with Gabriele Rafanelli have since borne fruit, however, after British rival Marc Hynes ran out of money and had to give up his seat in the Italian WRT team.
Scheckter, meanwhile, replaces the out-of-form Stephane Sarrazin at McLaren's mySAP.com
