Khan secures RC drive
Days after letting slip that Marco Bonanomi will fill one of their seats, RC Motorsport have completed their World Series by Renault line-up by confirming Adam Khan will race for the team in 2007.

Just as was that case with Bonanomi, Khan's verification was somewhat hidden on the RC website, with only a meagre sentence appearing on the team's own profile claiming 'the new season will see the RC race with Italian pilot Mark Bonanomi and Pakistani Adam Khan'.

Indeed, if the acquisition of Bonanomi was arguably no great surprise, then the signing of Khan by contrast has come somewhat out of the blue, the Brit not even featuring on the World Series test roster at the end of 2006, even if he did make a brief GP2 outing for Arden at Paul Ricard.

Nonetheless, having beaten the likes of Ferdinando Monfardini and Ben Hanley to the drive with RC, who secured fifth in the teams' championship in 2006, this season will signal a return to full-time racing for Khan after taking a year out to concentrate on his university studies.

Still, despite the time away, with credits in A1 Grand Prix for Pakistan, British and German Formula Three, as well as the Formula V6 Eurocup that preceded the World Series, Khan's extensive CV arguably belies his 21-years of age.

Khan becomes the third Brit to be confirmed on the World Series grid for 2007 alongside James Walker at Fortec and Pippa Mann at Cram by P1.
