Yas Marina GP2 test times - February 2

Times and track conditions from the first GP2 testing session of 2011 held at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi.
The first GP2 Asia Series pre-season testing event was held on Wednesday, February 2 at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. All thirteen teams were present and undertook some laps, including newcomers to the series Carlin and Team AirAsia.

Conditions were initially sunny but very dusty after a sandstorm the previous day. As a result, the morning session was cut short by half an hour to allow more cleaning time. In the afternoon, the session started with some light rain falling which made the conditions more problematic for everyone. Times fell as the track dried, and testing was extended by an hour to allow everyone to get runs in.

The next test session will be tomorrow, Thursday February 3 commencing at 9am local time.
