The second day of GP2 Asia Series pre-season testing was held on Thursday, February 3 at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. All thirteen teams were again present.

Conditions were initially foggy, which delayed the start of the session by an hour until the sun burned through the fog and visibility improved. The morning's runs were interrupted by three brief red flags. After an hour-long break for lunch, the testing resumed in the afternoon and the track was soon very busy in perfect conditions for the cars. The session was however cut short by 15 minutes after James Jakes went off and hit the barrier, bringing out the red flag. With repairs to the barrier set to take some time, the test session was declared over for the day.

The next two-day test session at Yas Marina starts on Sunday, February 6 commencing at 9am local time.
