Valencia - Race results (1)

Romain Grosjean emerged as the winner of the Valencia feature race after mechanical gremlins put Charles Pic out and a drive-thru penalty dispensed with Giedo van der Garde.
Romain Grosjean was able to take advantage of the misfortunes of the Barwa Addax duo to claim the Valencia feature race win.

Charles Pic broke down on the formation lap while Giedo van der Garde fell foul of the stewards and received a drive-thru penalty for ignoring yellow flags, which cost him a seemingly assured race win. The Dutchman fought back and overtook both Dani Clos and Davide Valsecchi in the final laps of the race to recover to second place by the chequered flags.

Esteban Gutierrez survived an early run-off, and Josef Kral managed to wrest a vital position from Michael Herck with two laps to go, so that the two of them finished in seventh and eighth positions meaning they will form the front row of the sprint race under the reverse grid system.
