Nurburgring - Race results (2)

24 July 2011

Changing conditions at the Nurburgring caught out many drivers during a wet, time-limited sprint race on a cold and grey Sunday morning.

After leading for most of the race, a mistake by Jules Bianchi at the final chicane on the penultimate lap gave Romain Grossjean the opportunity to take the lead and go on to win the race.

Grosjean's win makes this an excellent weekend for his GP2 title campaign as he outscored all his potential rivals and stretched his lead in the series championship points.
