GP2 pre-season testing at
Jerez in Spain.
The DAMS driver's best lap today was 1:25.567s, and he was on top of the time screens from early on in the day.
Coloni's Stefano Coletti was a tenth off Valsecchi's time, with Lotus GP's Esteban Gutiérrez and Caterham's Giedo van der Garde close behind.
