GP2 » Monaco - Thursday practice

Quick action by track workers clearing an earlier incident allowed Johnny Cecotto and Davide Valsecchi to complete their flying laps and top the Thursday practice session.
Barwa Addax's Johnny Cecotto set the fastest time of Thursday morning practice in Monaco, closely followed by DAMS' Davide Valsecchi, after both men were the beneficiaries of some fast clean-up work by track officials that removed a local yellow flag in time for them to complete their final flying laps at full speed.

Two drivers who had previously topped the timesheets during the session - Giedo van der Garde (Caterham Racing) and Josef Kral (Barwa Addax) - had early finishes to their session after spins. But the worst hit by the morning was Lotus GP's Esteban Gutiérrez who hit the Armco barrier at Ste Devote shortly after the session got underway.
