GP2 » Valencia - Qualifying times

James Calado took a surprise pole position as an early tyre gambit from Davide Valsecchi failed to pan out and others were hit by problems with traffic.
Lotus GP's James Calado will start from pole position in Valencia, after posting a time just seven thousandths of a second faster than DAMS' Felipe Nasr who will line up alongside him on the front row.

Davide Valsecchi's did to run supersoft tyres early in the session didn't quite work, and he will start from fourth place on the second row of the grid alongside Esteban Gutierrez.

Giancarlo Serenelli brought out the sole red flag of the session with an early spin at the entry to the bridge.
