Valencia - Race results (2)

24 June 2012

Polesitter Lotus GP's James Calado led almost every lap of the sprint race on the streets of Valencia, but came under intense pressure first from Carlin's Rio Haryanto and then from Racing Engineering driver Fabio Leimer before finally falling victim to a stunning charge from Arden's Luiz Razia in the final corners of the last lap of the race.

The race had an incident-packed start with a first-lap safety car following a four car pile-up into the barriers at turn 2, and another following immediately at the restart when a collision left Johnny Cecotto Jr. and Jolyon Palmer wrecked on the main straight.
