Monza - Qualifying times

Max Chilton overcame Giedo van der Garde's early provisional pole time by just 0.067s six minutes from the end of qualifying, but then spun in the final minutes to thwart his rivals' final runs.
Max Chilton claimed Carlin's third feature race pole in a row with a blistering time of 1:31.886s to pip Caterham's Giedo van der Garde to pole position at Monza by 0.067s.

Johnny Cecotto Jr. set the third fastest time but drops down five places on the starting grid for causing a collision at the start of last weekend's sprint race at Spa. That leaves series returnee Luca Filippi starting alongside championship co-leader Davide Valsecchi on the second row of the grid.

Valsecchi's main rival for the GP2 drivers' title, Arden's Luiz Razia, could only manage 12th place on the grid, alongside James Calado who is in third place in the championship battle in the Lotus GP car.

The race is scheduled to start at 2.40pm BST after F1 qualifying, and will be shown live in the UK on Sky Sports F1. The sprint race is on Sunday morning at 9.35am.
