The weather proved the dominant factor in the morning session of the second of two days of post-season tests at the Circuit de Catalunya just outside of Barcelona in Spain.
Racing Engineering's Facundo Regalia set the fastest time late in the session as the wet track began to dry out shortly before the lunch break, but his time of 1:51.799s was still 20 seconds slower than the best time of the afternoon, a lap of 1:31.173s set by Caterham's Alexander Rossi
Because of the rain, Luca Filippi's morning time from Tuesday stood as the fastest session of anyone from the two days at Barcelona.
The next and final two-day post-season test session will be held at
Jerez in three weeks time.
