Fog proved the biggest problem early in the first of two days of post-season testing activity for the
GP2 teams at
Jerez in Spain.
The fog was so heavy through turns 6 and 7 at one point during the morning that it forced a brief ten minute red flag stoppage, the only interruption of the morning's running which saw Felipe Nasr go fastest with a lap of 1:26.810s in the Carlin.
The afternoon session started brighter with sun breaking through, but as the session went on the clouds reasserted their grip and conditions returned to being cold and overcast. Marcus Ericsson ended up the fastest time of 1:26.717s in his day with championship winning team DAMS, while Barwa Addax's Alexander Sims was the only other driver to dup under the 87s mark with a time of 1:26.883s.
