Tom Dillmann put Hilmer Motorsports at the top of the timesheets on their first track day in the GP2 Series on Tuesday at the Circuit de Jerez.
French driver Tom Dillmann made a welcome return to GP2 Series duty on Tuesday, and was the fastest man on track on the first of three days of pre-season testing at the Circuit de Jerez in Spain.

Dillmann was driving for new team Hilmer Motorsports, which was only announced as joining the GP2 Series last month as a replacement for Ocean Racing Technology.

The other Hilmer driver, Norway's Pal Varhaug, had a somewhat less successful time of it and was the cause of the first of four red flag during the day. Others were triggered by Mitch Evans (Arden), Daniël de Jong (MP Motorsport) and Sergio Canamasas (Caterham).
