GP3 Spain 2013: Race results

Tio Ellinas and Aaro Vainio were the two race winners at the first weekend of the 2013 GP3 Series at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain.
Marussia Manor Racing's Tio Ellinas won the first race at the Circuit de Catalunya, having started from pole following Kevin Korjus' penalty for overtaking under yellow flags in the Friday practice session.

Aaro Vainio claimed victory in Sunday morning's race for Koiranen GP after holding off his team mate Korjus to the chequered flag in Barcelona. The race was the 50th since the inception of the GP3 Series in 2010.

After the first of eight weekends of 2013 GP3 competition, Ellinas is on 39pts leading Kevin Korjus by 11 points, with Vainio close behind in third.

The next round is back in Spain at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo on June 15/16.
