Nurburgring: Feature race results

6 July 2013

A strong start for DAMS' Marcus Ericsson left him holding the lead in the Nurburgring feature race when a safety car came out for a start/finish straight accident involving a stalled Adrian Quaife-Hobbs and a rolling Kevin Ceccon.

Ericsson held the lead at the restart and drove strongly during an extended sequence of off-sync tyre strategies to emerge as the winner at the chequered flag after a time-capped one-hour race comfortably ahead of second place man James Calado in the ART.

However all eyes were on a thrilling four-way battle over the final podium spot which saw championship leader Stefano Coletti finally force his way past Hilmer's Robin Frijns who then banged wheels with Ericsson's team mate and polesitter Stephane Richelmi in the final corner that allowed Racing Engineering's Fabio Leimer to jump them both for fourth, a whisker behind Coletti.
