Hungary sprint race results

28 July 2013

An assured start and 28-lap drive from Trident's Nathanael Berthon saw him start from pole position and come home to the chequered flag a comfortable two seconds ahead of Arden's Mitch Evans to claim his first win in the GP2 Series.

Racing Engineering's Fabio Leimer held the final podium position ahead of DAMS' Marcus Ericsson, but the Saturday feature race winner Jolyon Palmer slumped to 12th place in the Sunday morning outing.

The race saw an early safety car for a collision between Caterham's Sergio Canamasas and MP Motorsport's Daniël de Jong which then in turn caught up de Jong's former team mate Adrian Quaife-Hobbs (now with Hilmer Motorsport) and Arden's Johnny Cecotto Jr. Canamasas was handed a 10-place grid penalty to serve in Spa for causing the conflagration.
