Max Jean

Max spent much of his early career bound up in the Formula Ford and F3 GRAC projects, before switching to an F3 Tecno in 1970.

With Motul backing for 1971, he raced briefly in Formula 2 for Williams, handling the team’s March 701 in that year’s French GP. After a couple of unsuccessful outings for Rondel in Formula 2 the following year, Max returned to French F3 in 1973 with a Martini, again backed by the French oil giants.
