David Kennedy

Irish driver who took wins in the Aurora F1 championship before taking to Formula 1 in 1980 with the Shadow team. Attempted and failed to qualify for seven races, his best effort being 25th fastest at Argentina. Did qualify and race in the banned Spanish Grand Prix. Post F1 a strong sportscar career as well as a spell as director of Mondello race circuit. Returned to F1 in 2003 as manager of Ralph Firman.
