Tried to qualify for fourteen races in 1990 for EuroBrun, a team which had failed to qualify for every race the previous year, meaning Langes ensured continuity at least. Career prior to F1 included fourth overall in the 1984 European F3 championship. Holds the dubious record of the most consecutive DNPQ (Did Not Pre Qualify) without ever starting a Grand Prix.
