Classic comeback win for Pruett, Rojas

Joao Barbosa and JC France (#59 Brumos Porsche Riley) finished fifth, followed by John Pew/Michael Valiante (#6 Michael Shank Racing Ford Riley). Mark Wilkins led 24 laps in the #61 AIM Autosport Ford Riley before finishing seventh, while Angelelli and Darren Law also took turns in the lead.

Meanwhile, in the GT class, Farnbacher Loles Racing came back from a post-qualifying penalty to take a second straight win courtesy of Leh Keen and Dirk Warner.

Starting last in class after a post-qualifying inspection nullified Keen's apparent pole-winning run, the pair came back to lead 45 laps and capture their third victory of the season in the #87 Farnbacher Loles Racing Porsche GT3.

Keen led two laps at the end of his run before turning the car over to Werner, the 2007 GT champion. Werner then paced the final 43 circuits to claim his fourth career victory, and the fifth for Keen, who won the 2008 race at Mid-Ohio with Eric Lux. The second consecutive victory for Keen and Werner was their third in the last four races.

Werner won by 2.839secs over Robin Liddell and Andrew Davis, who led eleven laps early on in the #57 BryanMark Financial/Stevenson Automotive Pontiac GXP.R. Defending series champions Paul Edwards and Kelly Collins finished third on debut with Drinkin' Mate sponsorship adorning the #07 Pontiac.

"The end of the race was pretty easy for me, because Lehman did a real good job taking the car up to the front," Werner said, "That helped me in my stint. The only thing I had to do was take care of traffic. The car was so good, it wasn't too hard for me to stay up front, because the guys behind me were fighting so hard."

Tom Sutherland and Dane Cameron finished fourth in the #30 3Dimensional.com Mazda RX-8, with the drivers combining to lead a race-high 47 circuits. Jeff Segal and Emil Assentato took fifth in SpeedSource's #69 FXDD RX-8, while Patrick Dempsey placed a career-high sixth in the Dempsey Racing #40 El Grado Tequila Mazda he shared with Joe Foster.

Dominik Farnbacher's #86 Farnbacher Porsche fell from second to seventh in the closing laps after cutting a tyre after contact with a Daytona Prototype, while Nick Ham led three laps in the #70 SpeedSource/Castrol Syntec Mazda co-driven by Sylvain Tremblay, but mechanical problems dropped the team to an eleventh-place finish.
