Having finished last season as runners-up in the GT class of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car series, Tafel Racing has confirmed that it will field a two-car effort in 2007 alongside its commitments in the American Le Mans Series.

The team will also retain the services of three of its drivers from 2006 to drive the two cars, with Eric Lux and Wolf Henzler sharing the #74 Porsche and Andrew Davies partnered by team newcomer Nathan Swartzbaugh in the sister car.

"Jim [Tafel] and I are delighted to have brought together this combination of experience and youth," team vice president and technical director Tony Dowe said. "The pairings will be very strong. To have Eric Lux, who is continuing to build on his 2006 season, teamed with a driver of the caliber and experience of Wolf Henzler should produce a great result.
