Penske Racing continues to lead the Rolex 24 at Daytona, despite the #16 Porsche Riley suffering from a minor fuel pump problem.
Timo Bernhard moved into the lead of the race in the early stages with the Porsche factory man battling past David Donohue on the second lap.
Romain Dumas then took over at the wheel with the car continuing to run at the head of the field, battling the pole-sitting Brumos entry for the lead of the race.
“It's not bad so far but we have a slight fuel pump issue at the moment which means we are pitting early,” third driver Ryan Bricoe said. “Timo said the car is fantastic and we are double stinting at the moment but we aren't quite running as far as we would do normally. However, its going good.”
