Power released from hospital

Penske Racing driver Will Power has been released from Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and is en-route to Indianapolis.

Power will undergo further examination by IndyCar Series orthopedic specialist, Dr. Terry Trammell, on Monday to determine the next course of treatment and recovery.

Power suffered a concussion and compression fractures of his second and fourth lumbar vertebrae during a practice incident at Infineon Raceway on Saturday.

More to follow as and when we get it...
